Calamity Pam strikes again. I'm in Virginia for a training class this week. I went downtown to class today, parked in the parking garage, and fell going down the stairs. But these were some funky stairs. You know how risers all have to be a certain size or else you fall on your face? The last one was only 2 inches tall and I wasn't expecting it so boom....suddenly I'm doing the Chicken Dance with no music, twisted myself, and the top part of my left foot wound up breaking my fall. Got it x-rayed and it's only sprained, not broken. But there goes the idea of walking to class tomorrow. I'm so glad it's not broken because I only brought pants that would never fit over a cast.
Jim's home alone, and he sounds like crap. He can't get three words out of his mouth without choking and gagging, so I can barely understand him on the phone. He goes to see Dr. Spiegel after I get back. Can't wait.
So other than the foot my trip is o.k. Except for the fact that I got almost no sleep last night because the toilet is going drip drip...drip drip...I tried shutting off the water to the thing but what was left in the tank just continued to drip. It doesn't have a regular mechanism inside...you know- with the flapper and all that jazz...or I might have been able to fix it myself. It's got some new system in it that I know nothing about. I think it got fixed today. I'll know when the room is quiet and I'm trying to sleep.
