Jim and I are still somewhat sick. Not really sick, just sort-of sick. This thing has settled in my chest and I'm hacking up phlegm. This happens to me typically once a winter so I already know what to do...I'm not going to any stinking doctor. I just take my Zithromax and Predisone cocktail, which I have in the house on standy-by for these situations. I started the Zithromax yesterday, and I'm holding off on the steroid. If I'm no better by tomorrow I'll have to buckle down and start the Prednisone.

I got a call today from Vista Print, the people I order all my custom printing from. I always have our Christmas cards custom-done with something out-of-the-ordinary. Last year we had the space shuttle flying over our house. This year I had to go all out. I came up with the idea of putting Mickey-Mouse hands and feet and a big Santa hat on the scan of Timmy. Jim said, "You know that's SICK, right?" But I don't care. As Jim started the artwork he got more and more into it. So Vista Print called and wanted to know how my cards worked out and what exactly WAS that picture? I told them it was Jim's tumor. The guy laughed, then apologized for laughing. I said, "No- it was meant to be funny. It's fine to laugh. If you have to have a tumor you might as well have some fun with it." So here's the card:

Last Sunday Jimmy came down with a high fever and chills. I gave him Motrin and within a half-hour he was running around like a nut again. He was fine to go to school the next day and didn't have a relapse. Now Jim and I are sick. I think it's just bad colds, but could be the flu.

Friday night we went to Haddonfield to take Jimmy to see Santa. Haddonfield's a very nice town. They have candlelight shopping, horse-drawn carriage rides, and a live nativity outside of the church on the main drag. When we got home Friday night Jim actually said he had a really good time. Jim had a really good time and was outdoors. That's a twist.

But Saturday I spent just about all day on the couch sleeping. Today Jim caught up with me and was in bed until 1 pm. We've both been living on Sudafed and Theraflu. The weird thing is that Jim's coughing less sick than he did when he wasn't sick. I'm through trying to figure stuff out. He got his weight up to 151 lbs. before the weekend, but will probably slide back down again by the time we're better.
